Baby kicks

Such a sweet night! I was laying in bed just feeling baby girl kick around in my tummy and thought that maybe, just maybe, its strong enough now for R.J. to feel. So I went out to the living room and of course she stopped! I put Pandora on and Garth Brooks- 'Friends in Low Places' came on and she danced like crazy for him. Such a sweet moment for him to feel her for the first time. Of course she's country girl already. If Garth doesnt get you dancing I dont know what will ;)

I love this quote and it always makes me want to be a better mother for my daughter. Her future is in my hands and that's a pretty huge responsibility don't ya think?? With the world the way it is today I always find myself getting a little more country everyday. I just want to grow my own food, have my daughter around animals (especially horses), and teach her about hard work in a place where there's not as many crazy things happening! Where we can feel safe in our home and not feel worried even with all the doors locked. This is what I want to give my daughter. Freedom to run and play the way I did when I was a kid.

And that;s why we moved back home. To start a life for her that's surrounded by family and friends that we have known since we were little...there family anyways right?!?!! And then our little cozy country house will follow! Well everyone have a blessed day and remember to be the best YOU, you can be...for your children :) They're watching you!!

Oh my candy corn, its Finally Fall!!!!

 Wow! It has been 6 years since I have experienced Fall or or Winter. Needless to say I am very excited about not having an endless summer this year! Adios Hawaii. I know its only October 1st but I just couldn't wait to get started on some Halloween crafts (can you say Pinterest!). I happened to have my sweet niece Avery for the day so it worked out perfectly!

J-Dale Getaway

 

            Johnsondale CA. I just moved back to California after living in Hawaii for 6 years so I'm used to beauty...but this is a whole different kind. I forgot how many places there is to see and things to do on the mainland. The R-Ranch in Johnsondale California holds a special place to my heart because my grandparents lived there from my mom and dads side. All their children were raised there. Its always felt like a second home to me. It closed down years and years ago and is only available to members. My aunt Pam always made sure to spend a lot of time with me when I was growing up and this is one of the many places we would go together.
        The last visit was bitter sweet because I hadn't been there in 10 years and the last time I went was with my Granny & Papa and they both passed away a few months ago. It was a special trip and almost a little family reunion. I had my mom, my fiancee, my daughter, two sisters, a brother, 2 aunts, an uncle, my grandma, 2 nephews, 4 nieces, and some cousins!!! 

                                      These are 7 of my moms grandkids! What a family she built :)

We missed you dearly papa & granny but I know you were there in spirit and we all love 

you so much! What a beautiful place to raise your kids! I would move there in a heartbeat.

Grandma

My grandmother was the sweetest woman I have ever met. She was the kind of person that if someone said something bad about her, no one would ever believe them. She was such a lover and giver. I can't think of one thing she ever did completely for herself. I am having a hard time writing this since its been less than a month since she left us to go to a better place. I cant stand correcting these "is"for "was". She was a beautiful wife, amazing mother, even better grandmother, best cook, smart as could be, and without a doubt the best person I will ever know!
